What are you most looking forward to on the day? “I’m most excited for when we just get married, we’ve sung our last song and Jack and I are leaving the church singing and dancing during the recessional, enjoying the, ‘WE JUST GOT MARRIED’ feeling.”
“Me and Matt met at a party through friends, and after hanging out as friends for a while he asked me out! On our first date we had Italian food for dinner, then had a drink at a local pub, then we went to Matt’s place to watch a movie. As we were watching he turned to me and asked me to be his girlfriend, and I of course said yes!”
Nathan & Issy tied the knot at Balmain Sailing Club, with Sydney Harbour putting on an absolute show. I actually used to work with Nathan back in my hospitality days—he’s been a big supporter of my photography journey from the start, so it felt pretty special to be there capturing this wedding.
Kylie & David Scorpecci’s wedding at The Pill Factory in Bundanoon was anything but ordinary—and that’s exactly what made it so special. Set in a restored 1800s pill factory, this historic spot was the perfect backdrop for their non-traditional celebration, and even better—it doubled as a stay for many of their interstate guests.
Last Saturday was a special one as I had the pleasure of photographing Andrew & Roxana’s wedding at the beautiful Grounds of Alexandria. Their day was all about intimate charm, set in the lush greenery of the Atrium with just their nearest and dearest by their side.
“We met 10 years ago when we both worked at Subway! I was definitely the better employ but he brought the fun. We were friends for a few years before we started dating and have never looked back.”
When and where did you get engaged?
“Christmas day at home. The engagement ring was in one the my (Jade) Christmas gifts. I opened the gift last and when i looked at kyle he was on one knee and asked me to marry him.”
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? “The Winery as a location is quite a rustic venue, with us intending to have traditional wedding suits (Mark in James Bond Black, and Anthony wearing White :)) – We are wearing identical suits, just in different colour suit jackets (one black, one white).
Now, get this – it wasn’t their first rodeo. These lovebirds had not one, but two previous weddings, starting with an elopement in Byron Bay and another shindig in the UK. This time around, they decided to wrap it up Down Under, giving a nod to their Aussie mates and their shared love for the water and sailing.
Ella and Matt’s wedding marked the grand finale of my photography season. The setting was nothing short of magical, as the couple chose the private property of their dear friend Corey as the backdrop for both their ceremony and reception.
