A Calm First Look, City Strolls and a Verandah Bar Celebration

Alex and Ange’s day was the perfect mix of relaxed city vibes and heartfelt moments, all wrapped up in a chilled and joy-filled Verandah Bar wedding. They originally met through mutual friends at Sydney Uni and stayed close for years. Their first look in Hyde Park felt like a perfect pause, just the two of them soaking it all in before the ceremony.

From there we wandered through the Sydney city streets together, capturing fun and candid portraits before wrapping up at the Domain. The ceremony at St Stephen’s Uniting Church was warm and personal, and the energy stayed high as we all strolled over to Verandah Bar for the celebration. Their choice to have a Verandah Bar wedding made complete sense. The vibe was relaxed, the food and drinks were on point and the central location kept everything easy for their guests.

We met through mutual friends at Sydney Uni – we were friends for a while before dating.

 

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged at home on a rainy day – Ange came home from work, and Alex had set up champagne, flowers and a cheeseboard. Private and personal – perfect for us!

 

Why did you choose to have a Verandah bar wedding?

Great relaxed vibe and central location, with good food and drinks.

 

What are you most looking forward to on the day?
