Tell me about your The Beginning!

“We met our first year of Uni, as we were studying the same degree and had every class together. We didn’t become friends until the end of the first year and then became super close friends our second year. Finally after our friends were truly sick of us, we decided to turn our flirty banter into something more, 9 years later we are getting married! We have never stopped being best friends in that time and everyday we still laugh like crazy together.”

 

When and where did you get engaged?

“We got engaged while on holidays in Huskisson. Joel took me for a morning stroll on the beach, which is nice, but it was 8 am on a Sunday morning so I was not overly impressed to start with. We barely made it 1 minute into our walk before he got one one knee and asked if I would marry him, he was so nervous and couldn’t wait any longer. The rest of the day was filled with more surprises from family to celebrate and it was our favourite day together ever.”

 

Why did you choose to have an Audley Dance Hall Wedding?

“Meg: Nature was a huge factor in where I wanted to get married, I wanted somewhere close to water as well as somewhere so beautiful that the scenery is enough without decoration. “

 

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Meg: Seeing Joel when I walk down the aisle and finally being able to show off my dress. And then the crisp glass of bubbles immediately after to cheers to all the wedding planning being over.
Joel: Getting to marry the love of my life and celebrating wildly with everyone I love.
