Blair & Katey’s Stunning Gracelands, Forresters Beach Wedding: A Day of Love and Celebration

Blair & Katey’s Gracelands, Forresters Beach wedding was everything they had hoped for. They first discovered the venue on social media and immediately fell in love with its stunning beachside location. The convenience of having both the ceremony and reception in one place made it the perfect choice for them.

Their love story began in 2019 when Blair approached Katey at a night out in Terrigal, asking for a slice of pizza. Fast forward to Christmas Day 2021, when Blair proposed at sunrise near Norah Head lighthouse. From that moment, their journey led them to a Gracelands, Forresters Beach wedding, where everything came together beautifully.

On the big day, Blair & Katey were most excited to see each other for the first time as Katey walked down the aisle. They were also really looking forward to celebrating with their closest family and friends. In addition, they were eager to enjoy the amazing food (their wedding tasting was a solid 10/10) and share a few drinks. Furthermore, the bridal party had some downtime, whether it was relaxing at the beach or squeezing in a quick round of golf before the celebrations kicked off.

Blair & Katey also shared some valuable advice for other couples: “Book your vendors early if you’ve got your heart set on them! A two-year planning timeline made everything much easier. Also, don’t hesitate to lean on your family and friends for help—it really makes a huge difference.”

Ultimately, their Gracelands, Forresters Beach wedding was full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that they’ll cherish forever.

 

Tell me about your The Beginning!

“We met in March 2019 after at night out at the Beery in Terrigal, Blair approached me and asked for a piece of pizza and the rest is history! We have had a lot in common from the start and especially being big fans of the NRL and love travelling!”

When and where did you get engaged?

“We got engaged just after sunrise at Norah Head near the lighthouse on Christmas Day – 25/12/2021.”

Why did you choose to have your wedding at Gracelands, Forresters Beach?

“We found Gracelands via social media and loved our first visit there! Beautiful venue, love how close the venue is to the beach and love that the ceremony and reception is all in one.”

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

“Looking forward to seeing Blair when walking down the aisle. Celebrating with all our family and friends. Looking forward to a few beverages and the amazing dinner / meals Gracelands has! Our wedding tasting was a 10/10. Also, looking forward to the wedding morning getting ready with the girls and the boys going to the beach and maybe even golf if there is time before getting ready into their suits.”

Top Tips?

“If you love the vendors and have always had your heart set on them, get them booked in as soon as you and put a deposit down as soon as you can too to secure your fav vendors! Give yourself 2 years of planning and won’t be overwhelming, if family or friends offer to help out with anything your needing for the wedding, take on the support from others, it’s a massive help.
