Ella & Matt’s Intimate Wedding Extravaganza

Ella and Matt’s wedding marked the grand finale of my photography season. The setting was nothing short of magical, as the couple chose the private property of their dear friend Corey as the backdrop for both their ceremony and reception. Tucked away at the back of the property, a small gathering of 30 close friends and family witnessed Ella and Matt tie the knot.

Once the ‘I dos’ were said and hugs were dished out, we took a little road trip to an Airbnb for some private vow action and a sweet photoshoot. Watching Ella and Matt spill their hearts out to each other was like catching a glimpse of something truly magical. After the lovey-dovey stuff, we headed back to the party, where more friends had joined the crew.

For such a small shindig, Ella and Matt sure knew how to throw a killer party. The decorations were on point, the food was a feast, and the mobile bar? Classy move. And let me tell you about DJ Zac – he was the real MVP, keeping the vibe alive and the dance floor buzzing. It might’ve been a low-key affair, but Ella and Matt’s wedding was anything but forgettable. It was one heck of a day, filled with love, laughter, and all the good stuff that makes weddings awesome.

Tell me about your ‘The Beginning’

“We swiped right on each other on good ol’ Tinder. First date we went to a local restaurant and ended up kicking on at the pub till 2am.”

When and where did you get engaged?

“We got engaged Jan 7th at Lake Tekepo, midway through a Van road trip through NZ’s south island.”

What style/theme have you chosen for your backyard wedding in Bilpin?

“We’ve gone with a garden party/festival vibe, with vibrant colours including pinks, yellows and blues.”

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

“Getting to see each other for the first time at the end of the aisle, being married, and dancing like goofballs as we do, all night.”
